The latest expansion of the beloved online first-person shooter, Edge of Fate, is finally upon us. This marks the ninth expansion of this game, running strong since 2017. Unlike the Season Passes before the Edge of Fate expansion, the new Season Pass, aka Rewards Pass, has been completely overhauled.

In this article, we will discuss how to level up fast through the Rewards Pass.

Leveling Up in Destiny 2 Edge of Fate

Default XP Bonus

The Reward Pass allows you to obtain up to + 40% XP bonus. This is valid for your teammates as well. Having a team member with a high-level Reward Pass would provide the same incredible XP bonus to the other team members.

Keep in mind, the XP progresses your Reward Pass.

Prime Engrams

A welcome rework in the game is the Prime Engrams, as they no longer have a weekly cap. This is the only way to get your Power Level from 400 to 450. Getting the Rewards Pass will increase your chances of getting Prime Engrams in the Portal activities.

Score Bonus

There is also a Score Bonus in Portal Activities. The maximum bonus is a 15% boost and stays till the end of the season. The rewards in the game are bound by a tier threshold, i.e., a certain amount of cumulated score would place you in a certain tier. Being at a higher tier would ensure a higher Power Level of the received gear. We highly recommend you level up your Reward Pass before hitting the Portal and grinding.

The Seasonal Hub

You can access the Seasonal Hub in the portal. Here reside the daily challenges and weekly challenges, both providing XP. This replaces a lot of the old bounties and is your main source of XP farming. So, frequently check your seasonal hub. Some tasks might be as trivial as switching a weapon. On the other hand, the weekly challenges are more important because they offer even more XP. Keep in mind, the XP gain in both ways is boosted in your Rewards Pass.

Moreover, having the Rewards Pass benefits the progress of the Weekly Challenges in the Seasonal Hub.

One Controversial Way

Moreover, the Rewards Pass can be progressed with money. You can buy Pass Ranks and level up your Rewards Pass. This certainly adds a “pay-to-win” aspect to the game, which has received criticism from the player base.
