The Grow a Garden developers have released yet another update to the game. The new update is called the Zen Event. It is a limited-time event that launched earlier today (July 19, 2025) and will carry on till July 26, 2025. This update, part of version 1.15.0, introduces a serene, Japanese-inspired theme focused on peace, balance, and mindful cultivation. Let’s learn what’s new in the Grow a Garden Zen Event.
What’s New in Grow a Garden Zen Event (Version 1.15.0)?
The new Grow a Garden Zen Event (Version 1.15.0) brings a host of new changes to the game, including new pets, plants, and gameplay content. Let’s check them out.
Zen Event Hub and Zen Tree
- Zen Tree: Located in the event hub, it grows through seven levels as players submit Tranquil mutation fruits to Monk Unc (NPC).
- Progression: Trade Tranquil fruits for Zen currency. Higher rarity fruits yield more Zen. Upgrading the Zen Tree unlocks rewards like Zen Seed Packs, Zen Eggs, Chi currency, and crates.
New Currency
A new in-game currency called Chi has been added to the game. It is obtained by trading Tranquil plants. You can spend Chi in the Zen Shop on seeds, eggs, cosmetics, and mutation sprays.
New Mutation
A new mutation called the Tranquil Mutation is added to the game. It is part of the Zen Aura Weather event. Here are the details:
- Tranquil Mutation: A new mutation with a 20x sale value multiplier, marked by white bubbles with Japanese letters.
- Zen Aura Weather Event: Occurs hourly for 10 minutes, applying Tranquil mutations to random fruits with blue aura and maple leaf visuals.
New Pets
There are six new pets in the game. These pets can be hatched via the Zen Eggs.
- Shiba Inu (Uncommon): Every ~58 seconds, has a 15.11% chance to dig up a random seed, adding to your inventory.
- Nihonzaru (Rare): Boosts other pets’ passive abilities slightly if a hot spring cosmetic is in your garden.
- Tanuki (Legendary): Every ~10.3 minutes, performs random mischievous actions in your garden.
- Tanchozuru (Mythical): Every ~10.2 minutes, gives a 5.23% chance to apply the Tranquil mutation to fruits within 15.47 studs.
- Kappa (Mythical): Every ~7.6 seconds, applies Wet mutation to nearby plants; 10.24% chance to change Wet mutations to Bloodlit.
- Kitsune (Prismatic): Every 20 minutes, duplicates and mutates a random fruit from another player’s garden with Chakra (5x multiplier); rare chance for Foxfire Chakra mutation
How To Get Zen Eggs
- Step 1: First, you would need Tranquil Fruits. Harvest during hourly Zen Aura (10 min) or use Tanchozuru pet (5.23% chance every ~10.2 min) for Tranquil mutations.
- Step 2: Trade your Tranquil Fruits with Monk Unc. As a reward, you will get the Zen Eggs.
Alternative method: Another method is to buy Zen eggs from the Zen shop. It will cost you 30 Chi or 149 Robux (1 egg).
New Plants
The new update also sees new plants. Here are the new seeds:
- Monoblooma – 40% chance
- Serenity – 25% chance
- Taro Flower – 20% chance
- Zen Rocks – 10% chance
- Hinomai – 4.5% chance
- Maple Apple – 0.5% chance
