Grow a Garden Kitsune is one of the six new pets added in the new Zen Event Update. Let’s find out more about it.

Grow a Garden has finally released the new update called the Zen Event Update. The new update introduces a Japanese-inspired theme. As it is with other updates, this one, too, includes new pets. One of the rarest pets in the update is the Kitsune. It’s the first Prismatic pet in the game, inspired by the mythical nine-tailed fox from Japanese folklore. Let’s learn about it.
Grow a Garden Kitsune Pet Guide
To get the Kitsune Pet, you need the Zen Egg. Since it’s a Prismatic rarity pet, it only has a 0.08% chance of dropping from the Zen Egg. Here’s how you can obtain a Zen Egg:
1) Method 1: Trade Tranquil Fruits for Chi Points:
- Visit the Zen Shop Raccoon NPC (Tanuki) in the event hub.
- Trade Tranquil-mutated fruits for Chi Points (higher-rarity fruits yield more Chi).
- Purchase a Zen Egg for 30 Chi Points.
2) Method 2: Grow the Zen Tree:
- Submit Tranquil fruits to the Monk Unc NPC to contribute to the Zen Tree’s 7-level progression.
- As the tree levels up, you may receive Zen Eggs as rewards, especially at higher levels.
3) Method 3: Complete Daily Quests:
- Interact with Monk Unc to receive three random daily quests (Example: harvesting specific crops or collecting Tranquil fruits).
- Completing quests may reward Zen Eggs, Zen Seeds, or Tranquil Pet Mutation Shards. You can skip quests for 89 Robux to refresh for better rewards.
4) Method 4: Purchase with Robux:
- Buy a Zen Egg directly for 149 Robux or a premium bundle of 10 Zen Eggs for 1,269 Robux (slightly higher drop rates for premium eggs).
What Does the Kitsune Do?
The Kitsune has a unique ability called the Nine-Tailed Myth. Let’s check out what it does:
- Function: Every 20-22 minutes, the Kitsune visits another player’s garden, selects a random fruit, applies a Chakra mutation (5x sale multiplier), duplicates the fruit, and brings the copy to your garden.
- Special Feature: There’s a rare chance for the Kitsune to apply a Foxfire Chakra mutation (90x sale multiplier) instead, which is visually striking with an orange and white thunder aura and significantly more valuable.
