Hatchmons are small creatures that you can hatch from the colorful eggs you collect during your journey. After hatching, they will join you when you explore the city outskirts, and they’ll aid you during combat. They are a big help when you’re overwhelmed by the number of foes attacking you. However, they aren’t invincible. Enemy attacks will knock them out temporarily. You can either run over to these fallen Hatchmons to revive them or use certain relics that revive them automatically after some time has passed.

You can have as many Hatchmons with you as you want. However, there are only five variants of them in total: Purply, Ivory, Pinky, Limey, and Tealy. Having certain combinations of Hatchmons with you will let you create more powerful variants, called Super Hatchmons. One such combination is one Limey and three Pinky. The Super Hatchmon are stronger, and their attacks deal more damage. They also have unique abilities that come into play during battles.

Based on the number and kinds of Hatchmons you have with you on your journey, some weapons and artifacts might provide additional bonuses. These bonuses will usually make these items stronger.
