Teyon went to great lengths to craft an original story with RoboCop Rogue City to capture the essence and nostalgia of the original films.

Teyon told an ambitious story with RoboCop Rogue City. The developers went as far as collaborating with Peter Weller, the original actor of Alex Murphy in the films, to further show that the events of this game are canon to the films. Fans of the movies will realize that the events of Rogue City are set between the second and third films.
RoboCop Rogue City Is Officially Canon to the Original Films

After defeating the faulty cyborgs, Alex Murphy continues his life as a part-man and part-machine detective. RoboCop protects the streets of Old Detroit along with his partner, Anne Lewis, and becomes a celebrity amongst the people. Unfortunately, being a machine has a few disadvantages, like malfunctioning on the job. This game does a good job of setting up the third major film in the series.
Alex faces a new threat that is somehow linked to his first adventure as RoboCop. This story is fairly linear, but there are a few opportunities to explore the city to complete side quests and assist its fine citizens. Teyon wanted to capture the feeling and essence of the original films and passed with flying colors by seamlessly bridging events by adding new storylines.
The Unfinished Business Expansion Fleshes out Alex’s Past

As part of the new story expansion, players can revisit Alex’s past as a police officer before becoming RoboCop. If you want to get the full experience, the base game and the expansion are something you should check out to better understand Alex’s growth.
Teyon crafted an original story that fits naturally with the RoboCop lore and expanded the universe earnestly. RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
