Neon Abyss 2 is a futuristic roguelike that puts you in the shoes of an Agent. You will be able to choose from a roster of available Agents at the start of the game, and each of them has a separate set of skills and abilities. Once you start, you’ll face off against hordes of enemies and adopt Hatchmons.

With 4-player co-op, you can experience the entirety of the game with your friends. Neon Abyss 2 is currently in Early Access and playable to PC players only via Steam. So, you can’t currently play Neon Abyss 2 on consoles. However, Veewo Games has confirmed that a console release is coming in the future. In the following article, we’ll explore when PS5 and Xbox players might be able to get their hands on the console version of the game.

Neon Abyss 2 became available to players on Steam via Early Access on July 17, 2025. Veewo Games has confirmed that the game will stay exclusive to PC during its entire Early Access tenure. Once the 1.0 version of the game is released, it will hit consoles too. However, they didn’t reveal the exact time frame for when that might happen.

Also, while confirming eventual release on consoles, the developers didn’t say exactly which platforms the game will be available on after its full release. The first game in the series released on the Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms. So, one could assume that the second iteration would also land on these platforms.

For now, the developers seem to be taking the game’s Early Access window to test the waters. They’ll likely want to gather player feedback and implement changes based on these. So, the final game might have major changes compared to the version that’s playable on PC right now.
