In this guide, we’ll help you learn more about the Hidden Daggers in He Is Coming, including how they work and where you can get more.

The Hidden Dagger is a weapon that scales as you find more of them. So, while it starts off with just 2 Attack, you can increase it further by finding additional daggers out in the world. However, you need to figure out whether you want to make a build that focuses on using the Hidden Dagger. We feel even with the scaling Attack stat, it’s simply too risky to rely solely on the Hidden Dagger. Still, if you want to judge for yourself, we suggest understanding everything about the Hidden Daggers in He Is Coming.
How Do Hidden Daggers in He Is Coming Work?

The Hidden Dagger starts off with a base Attack of 2. It has no additional effects or abilities. Every time you acquire another Hidden Dagger, the Attack stat increases by 2. So, here’s how the progression happens:
- 1st Hidden Dagger: 2 Attack
- 2nd Hidden Dagger: 4 Attack
- 3rd Hidden Dagger: 6 Attack
- 4th Hidden Dagger: 8 Attack
Keep in mind that you must find multiple Hidden Daggers in the same run to scale the weapon’s Attack stat. Also, there’s no other way to improve the Hidden Dagger, such as by killing enemies or making progress through the game.

How To Find Additional Hidden Daggers in He Is Coming
You will receive the first Hidden Dagger inside a random chest. You can’t purchase it from shops or receive it by any other means. Also, if you don’t pick up the first one, additional Hidden Daggers won’t spawn for you for the rest of the run. If you pick up the first one, you’ll need to rely on random chests again for the duplicates. This is tricky, and finding all upgrades in one run might be difficult. Some players are using the 5 rerolls per chest blessing from wells to increase their likelihood of finding additional Hidden Daggers, but it’s still a gamble.
Relying solely on Hidden Dagger might not be a good idea for this very reason. You might need a lot of luck to find more than two of these in a run, which means you might be stuck with a +4 Attack weapon, and that isn’t great. Also, in the early game, you’ll need to face off against some tough enemies with a weapon that does +2 base damage, which might put you on the back foot.
