The Qua Nilus II is a new Strand weapon that you can acquire as a Portal activity world drop. If it’s the active Bonus Reward, you might be able to get it more easily. There’s also a chance that you might get your hands on it by accessing Hawthorne’s Portal Activity engrams. Either way, since there’s some RNG involved in both methods, you won’t find the gun too frequently.

Qua Nilus II PvE God Roll Guide
In PvE scenarios, you should pair the new Strand SMG to empower a build based around Strand-centric Fragments and Aspects. Doing so will ensure that you get great synergy from the weapon.

The Barrel, Magazine, Mod, and Masterwork choices will help improve Stability and Range of the weapon significantly. Vanguard Determination will greatly increase your damage resistance if you can land final blows with this weapon after using your class ability. The Slice perk synergizes well with the weapon’s Origin Trait. After using your class ability, you get 8 seconds of Sever (reduced damage output for enemies) with the Qua Nilus II. The Hatchling perk, on the other hand, creates a Threadling every time you perform either a rapid standard or a precision final blow.

The Qua Nilus II doesn’t reinvent the wheel when it comes to PvP SMGs. It performs decently, but its perk pool doesn’t give you too many options. Still, here’s a look at what its God Rolls will look like in this scenario.

That’s because they translate well in this mode and help boost the SMG’s Range, Stability, and Handling stats. With Vanguard Determination, you have a chance to enhance your damage resistance every time you use your class ability. Perk-wise, Dynamic Sway Reduction further improves weapon accuracy and stability when you hold down the trigger. The second Perk option addresses the weapon’s damage output, making it on par with its Stability, Accuracy, and Range.
