In The King Is Watching, updating the layout of your kingdom is crucial, and sometimes you need to remove some buildings. This allows you to free up some space and make room for another structure. Throughout your playthrough, you will be constantly improving your structures to deploy the best troops. You also need better facilities that can help these units perform at their best.

However, removing a building can be a bit confusing at times, especially if you are new to the game. With that said, here is a guide on how you can remove or delete buildings in The King Is Watching.

Unfortunately, there is no hotkey for demolishing buildings in The King Is Watching. However, there is a button in the in-game interface that allows you to do it. To remove a building, locate the house icon with a “-” sign. Click this icon and then select a building you wish to demolish. Once you are done, disable delete mode by right-clicking outside of your vision area. Make sure you turn off delete mode, as you can’t recover any lost buildings. That means you will need to rebuild them.

Why Remove Buildings?

There are a lot of reasons why you need to remove buildings in The King Is Watching. One good reason is to free up space for better structures. For example, switching out Old Wheat Fields to Flour. Perhaps you want to deploy some Dragons, so you swap out the Militia Camp for Dragon Training.

Sometimes, these buildings can also block your vision rotation, which can be a bit annoying. You can delete them if you no longer need them. However, keep in mind that removed buildings are gone for good. This means you will have to rebuild them if you want to use these structures again.

If you want to organize your kingdom’s layout, just move them around. Do not delete them and then rebuild, as it can be expensive. Better yet, do not remove buildings immediately. Check if you can rearrange them for more space before considering deleting them.
