Best Early-Game Combat Skills
Health
This upgrade is very simple, as each level of Health increases DK’s heart by one. There are a total of seven levels to this upgrade, and maxing it out brings your max health to 10 hearts. Apple Juice
When you lose all your health, Donkey Kong perishes, which resets the level. However, Apple Juice packs serve as a reviver and bring your health back to full when used. The Apple Juice skill allows you to carry multiple packs, with one being added at each upgrade. It is recommended to invest at least one level of this in the early game, which allows you to carry two Apple Juice packs at once.
Bananergy

The reason for getting this upgrade is that you can slide on poison and lava, which normally consume a lot of health on contact. This upgrade makes exploration much safer and easier in certain regions.
Punch Power
Donkey Kong Bananza features a destructible environment, which DK can punch through to traverse and explore. However, the ground slowly starts to become much tougher to punch through as you progress to further regions.
