Rimworld Odyssey, the latest DLC expansion of the acclaimed colony simulator, introduces a wide variety of new content. While the Gravships and Space travel remain highlights, the Odyssey also introduces miscellaneous items like statues and heavy bridges. Outfit Stands are among them, simplifying life in Rimworld.
As its name implies, an Outfit Stand hauls apparel and weapons. Beyond simply showcasing your gear, it actually lets your colonists switch them quickly. How To Make Outfit Stands in Rimworld Odyssey
You can build Outfit Stands by heading to the Architect tab. Select the Furniture section, and you will find the Wooden Outfit Stand there. Select the item and place it at your preferred spot, ideally near airlocks or exits. Crafting a Wooden Outfit Stand requires 35 wood. It not only saves space but also allows your pawns to switch outfits quickly when needed.
How To Use Outfit Stands in Rimworld Odyssey
An Outfit Stand is used to display your gear, making it readily available for colonists to swap whenever needed. This can be highly beneficial in emergency situations, removing the need to search the shelves for a specific item. Set up multiple Outfit Stands for different gear sets—such as marine outfits, vac suits, combat armor, or temperature-resistant apparel. You can also manage which weapons and apparel get stored in each Outfit Stand via its storage settings. Once you allow a specific item, force the stand to hold the item.
To make your pawn equip the outfit from the stand, right-click the pawn and click the Outfit Stand. Now select the Equip Outfit option to switch the apparel instantly.
