In this extensive guide, we’ll explain how you can complete the Explore Kepler Fabled quest in Destiny 2 to get high-tier loot.

With the recent The Edge of Fate update for Destiny 2, players gained access to a range of new content. Apart from playing through an entirely new campaign, you can also dive into the activities across the new planet, Kepler. Finally, if you’re on the hunt for high-tier loot, you’ll want to explore Kepler’s World Tier system. But getting there isn’t going to be easy. Before you can get your hands on some of the best loot the expansion has to offer, you’ll need to clear a few missions.
One of them is the Explore Kepler Fabled quest in Destiny 2. It’s quite a tricky mission to get through if you don’t know how to proceed. In this guide, we’ll explore what you’ll need to do to complete this particular mission.
How To Complete the Explore Kepler Fabled Quest in Destiny 2

The quest requires you to collect more Strangelets for the Altar of Relativity. In the first phase of the mission, you’ll visit the Exile’s Accord and Outer Steppes regions on Kepler to collect the Strangelets. The second phase involves replaying four Edge of Fate campaign missions on the Fabled difficulty setting. Here’s our breakdown of the phases to complete the overall quest.
Locating the Strangelets

You will get a general map marker that points you to the Strangelets in both locations. We started in the Outer Steppes region, where you’ll first have to activate two Fallen terminals. That will open the door leading to the Strangelet in the area. Inside, you’ll encounter Walker and Fallen Captains. Make sure you defeat them within five minutes, or the encounter will restart. The Fallen Captains will shield themselves after a certain point during the battle. You can break through using the Matterspark’s Overcharge ability.
In the Exile’s Accord region, you’ll have to head inside a cavern whose entrance is blocked by lasers. The Matterweave ability and your Relocator will prove useful in navigating this area and reaching the shielded Strangelet. Just below it, you’ll find a button that you need to press. As soon as you do so, a Fallen boss, standard Fallen, and Shanks will spawn in the area, and a battle will trigger. Make sure you take out the minions first. Also, destroy any mines that the Fallen boss summons.
After that, you can focus your attention on the boss. Defeating all of these enemies will remove the shield from the Strangelet and allow you to grab it.
Keep in mind that after you collect the first Strangelet in the mission, you need to deposit it at the Altar of Relativity before collecting the second one. If you don’t follow this order, you’ll need to replay both encounters again.

Completing the Edge of Fate Campaign Missions
After you’ve collected both Strangelets from the two zones, you will need to replay the following four Edge of Fate campaign missions. However, this time, you’ll need to crank up the difficulty to Fabled:
- Commencement
- Charge
- Gouge
- Quarantine
By this point, you should already be familiar with these missions. However, the higher difficulty can be a challenge. If you’re playing solo, make sure you’re at least Light 150 before proceeding. Otherwise, you can rely on your squad for support. Completing all four of these missions will complete the Explore Kepler Fabled quest in Destiny 2.
