It might take some time for you to get used to the crafting and survival mechanics of Abiotic Factor. However, once you get the hang of it, the game is fun. Mixing survival with a Half-Life 2 experience has earned the game Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam.
However, you might encounter an obstacle early in the game. Let us say you’ve opened the Cafeteria door by setting up a Crafting Bench. Then you head into the Facility, pick a suitable place for camping, and even set up a bed. You are scouring Level 2, slaying Peccaries and Pests with your Crossbow and/or Pipe Club.
Eventually, your weapons will start giving in. You’ll figure out that a Repair and Salvage Station is going to set you straight. However, crafting this Station requires an Anvil. At this point, there is a high chance you do not have this crafting item on you.

How To Find Anvil in Abiotic Factor
There are five possible ways of obtaining Anvil in Abiotic Factor:
1) Office Sector Level 1 – Cafeteria Maintenance Area
For this, you must wait until nighttime (after 9 PM). The fan at the vent will shut down once power goes out at night. However, beware of Security Robots and other threats. They might be slow, but they are quite persistent. Go past the fan, crawl through the vents, and drop into the storeroom. You’ll find a shelf housing an Anvil.
2) Office Sector Level 3 – Supply Room Near Silo 3
You must reach Level 3 to get this. Use the elevator or the teleport orb.
Go to the Storage Room near the Silo 3 passage. There are two Anvils there—one on a stack of metal crates and another on top of a shelf.
3) Manufacturing West
The mine area near the Control Tower has quite a few containers and wooden stacks. You’ll usually find Anvils on them. Moreover, the area near the green pipe and the parked truck may also provide this crafting item.
4) Cascade Laboratories – Maintenance Access
Head to the entrance of Adjustment. You’ll need to access the top shelf here. Use furniture, a Gaseous Nest, or a Jump Pad to boost yourself to the top shelf.
5) Trade Option
You will get one Anvil for one Security Bot CPU if you trade with The Blacksmith.
