Where Winds Meet is easily one of the most visually stunning upcoming RPGs of 2025. This is rather surprising considering that the game is also scheduled to be released for mobile platforms. Although the game’s visuals do bear a striking resemblance to some of the recent Unreal Engine 5 releases, such as Black Myth Wukong, Wuchang Fallen Feathers, etc., it’s not using Epic Games’ engine.

Instead, Where Winds Meet is developed using NetEase’s proprietary Messiah Engine. The Messiah Engine was initially conceived to streamline the process of game development for NetEase’s mobile divisions. However, with the rise in popularity of console games, the engine has received some major improvements.

Where Winds Meet is the very first title using the Messiah Engine that capitalizes on the improvements made to the Messiah Engine. Surprisingly enough, Where Winds Meet is a rather demanding game on PC, as evidenced by its official system specifications. Here’s everything you need to know about Where Winds Meet’s PC system requirements.

Although the game does have a mobile port, which is planned to be released simultaneously alongside the console and PC versions, it seems not to hold back on its visuals to accommodate that. Despite offering an open-world setting, Where Winds Meet is relatively light on the CPU front. However, the game is rather demanding when it comes to VRAM.

Additionally, the game also requires a hefty amount of storage. That said, NetEase has stated that Where Winds Meet will support HDD. However, the developer recommends installing the game on an SSD for a “better experience.”

Lastly, these PC specifications are subject to change since they mostly reflect the game’s currently live PC playtest.
