The second half of the Zen event is live in Grow a Garden, adding the brand-new Corrupt Mutation. After the Travis Kelce Celebrity Guest Event on July 26, 2025, the Corrupted Event started in the Roblox experience. This is a brand-new type of weather event, like the Zen event, that grants you the new mutation.

This article will explain everything that you need to know about the Corrupt Mutation and what you can gain from it during the event.

Everything You Need To Know About the Corrupt Mutation in Grow a Garden

This is a limited-time mutation that you can only obtain during the Corrupted event. Before we get into the modifiers and the uses of the Corrupt crops, let us look at how players can obtain the mutation.

How to Get the Corrupt Mutation

It is very similar to the Zen mutation. In that, crops in your garden have a chance to get the Corrupt mutation during the new Corruption weather. As of the Corrupted Event update, this new weather may replace the Tranquil Weather event. Instead of blue energy spheres, red corrupted spheres will spawn at the center of the event area and mutate crops in your garden.

Corrupt Mutation Modifiers

Crops with this mutation get a x20 modifier to their base value when selling. Fruits and flowers with this mutation also have red and black particles falling from them, on top of emitting red lightning.

Uses of Corrput Crops

During the Corrupted Event, players need to submit an even number of Corrupt and Tranquil crops to the Kitsune at the center of the map to complete the quests. Depending on the level, you can get a variety of rewards. Here is a list explaining the rewards drop chance.

Maneki-neko pet: 34.5%
Dezen seed: 34.5%
Kodama pet: 14.5%
Lucky Bamboo Seed: 14.5%
Corrupted Kitsune Pet: 1%
Tranquil Bloom seed: 1%

For the first level, you have to submit six Corrupt and six Tranquil crops to get the rewards. The tree of balance will sprout at the center, indicating your progress. The new pets and seeds are some of the most exclusive you can get in Grow a Garden. You can only obtain them during the Corrupted Event.
