Grow a Garden is one of the most popular games on Roblox, largely due to its weekly updates, which occur every Saturday. Last week, the famous NFL star Travis Kelce featured in the Celebrity Guest Event, with the developer Jandel conducting an action-packed Admin Abuse event. While the upcoming update has yet to be named on the Roblox page, it may be called “Cooking Event,” as indicated by the polls on the official Discord server.

Grow a Garden Cooking Event: Release Time by Timezones
The Grow a Garden Cooking Event is releasing on Saturday, August 2, 2025. It is in your best interest to stay online in-game before the update drops, as Jandel triggers Admin Abuse. This essentially entails exclusive Admin Weather events that trigger new mutations in your crops and rare seed restocks at the shop.

As mentioned, the developers have not officially named the next Grow a Garden update. On July 27, Jandel, the lead dev, hosted a poll on the game’s official Discord server and X community. The poll was about letting the fans decide what the next update should be about. The two options were:
- Beanstalk Event: Every hour, all the players in the server convert fruit into fertilizer to grow a magical beanstalk. The beanstalk will grow taller and taller, reaching the “Grow a Garden Giants” in the sky. These giants will give players unique rewards.
- Cooking Event: A cooking pot is in the middle of the map. Add different fruits and vegetables to the pot to cook different quality foods. Discovering better recipes will satisfy the pig, who will give better rewards depending on the meal you have made for him.
The poll ran for an hour, with 9.67K votes on Discord. The Cooking Event won with 66% of the tally, indicating that it would be the next event. On X, the Cooking Event won with 53.8% of the votes. All we know about the event is in the poll. Similar to the past Angry Plant Event, the Cooking Event will feature an NPC that will reward you depending on what kind of crops you submit.
