Master Celeste’s icy abilities in Supervive to slow enemies and exert control over the battlefield with precision and mobility.

Celeste is an easy-to-learn but difficult to master hunter in Supervive who excels in zoning and debuffing enemies with slow and stun effects. Alongside her area control capabilities, the icy hunter is also highly mobile, with her dash allowing for quick repositioning or retreat. This article explores how Celeste’s abilities can be best used for a zoning playstyle relying on long-range pressure and debuffs to deplete enemy teams.
How To Use Celeste’s Abilities in Supervive
Celeste’s Shatter passive provides 500 health after knocking an enemy hunter, and applies the Chill condition for four seconds through her abilities. If an enemy with Chill dies, they shatter after a brief delay, dealing damage in an area around them.
Ice Darts (LMB)
Holding down the left mouse button fires a stream of ice darts, with the last three darts dealing double damage and flying further than the rest. Ice Darts deal bonus damage during Skate and trigger Shatter after hitting the same enemy eight times.
The darts have homing capabilities, and should typically be aimed where an enemy is going to be rather than where they are. Use Ice Darts as a constant source of long-range pressure while creating an opportunity for setting up more powerful abilities.
Cryo Spear (RMB)

The Cryo Spear is a long-range attack that deals area damage and slows down all enemies hit. The ability deals greater damage if the target is further away, and increases the slow effect if the target is closer. Cryo Spear has two charges, and the shot explodes where your cursor is aiming or at max range. It can be used to great effect in choke points and for zoning, followed up by easily shooting Ice Darts into the slowed targets.
Skate (L Shift)

Hold Left Shift to Skate and release it to stop. Pausing Skate early shortens its cooldown time. Skate is a very flexible dash, allowing Celeste to reposition or retreat. Use the dash to follow and blitz down isolated enemies, with Ice Darts dealing double damage during it. You can also utilize Skate to dive into an enemy formation and activate Celeste’s ultimate, Chilling Finale.
Frozen Barricade (Q)

Press the “Q” key to summon a wall of ice that pushes any enemies it contacts. Activating the ability again stops the wall in its current position. Frozen Barricade is ideal for repelling enemies and blocking off choke points, as your team can still shoot over the ice wall.
Chilling Finale (R)

Celeste becomes invulnerable and creates a slowing zone in a large radius around her upon pressing “R.” After 3.5 seconds, a large explosion damages all enemies in the zone. Pressing R again when the bar is nearly empty (after 2.75 seconds) will trigger a less powerful explosion, and activating the ability even sooner will cancel it.
The spell does not affect areas where Celeste doesn’t have line of sight. Chilling Finale offers defensive utility as a panic button when you are pushed or surrounded by an enemy team. The slowing and stunning effect provides your team with a significant advantage when used offensively. You can cancel the ability early if enemies leave their zone or if they’re preparing to attack once invulnerability ends.
