Kril Hat is one of the most challenging cosmetic items to unlock in PEAK. Follow this guide to learn how to get it.
There are many exciting cosmetic upgrades available in PEAK. However, all of these are exclusive to the available badges in the game. At the moment, there are 42 badges, with the Mesa update adding 10 new badges recently. In this article, we will take a look at how you can unlock the Kril Hat, which is an exclusive reward that you can only get after acquiring the Animal Serenading Badge.
PEAK: Acquiring the Kril Hat
While most of the badges in PEAK will automatically get unlocked if you complete the entire game, there are some that you need to specifically unlock if you are targeting a 100 percent completion. Animal Serenading is one such badge. This is why Kril Hat is one of the few cosmetic items that only some players have in their inventory.
To unlock this badge, you need to first get a bugle and then play it in front of a Cabybara. The difficult part is getting your hands on a bugle, as it is a rare item that does not have a fixed spawn location. Bugles can generally be found inside ancient luggage or near statues. The next thing you need to do is to find a Cabybara. This rodent is exclusive to the Alpine biome in PEAK.
Make your way to this biome and then head to the shore. Once you manage to find a Capybara, the last thing you need to do is to play the bugle in front of it. If you manage to do this correctly, you will see a notification on the screen telling you that the Animal Serenading badge is unlocked. As a reward, the Kril Hat will automatically get added to your inventory as well.

To equip this hat, you need to head to the airport and then check your passport. Now you are all set to flaunt your newly acquired cosmetic upgrade.
