Unlike the basic and Shark Rod, the Shell Rod offers faster fishing and better mastery gains, making it a valuable tool if you plan to progress in fishing. Unlocking it takes time and effort, but with the right preparation, you can craft it quickly once the recipe becomes available.

How To Unlock the Shell Rod in Blox Fruits
- Complete 40 Angler’s Quests from the Angler NPC in the Third Sea (found in Hydra Town).
- After finishing all 40 quests, the Angler unlocks the Shell Rod crafting recipe.
Shell Rod Crafting Requirements
Once the recipe is unlocked, you will need the following materials to craft the Shell Rod:

The Terrorshark
The Terrorshark is a Level 2000 Raid Boss that gives required crafting materials. It spawns at Sea Danger Levels 2-6 in the Third Sea. When it spawns, the screen darkens, music plays, and a large HP bar appears. It is hard to outrun, but fast fruits like Light and quick boats like The Sentinel can help you escape. It circles boats and constantly attacks until the player or boat is destroyed, and gets stronger at higher danger levels.
Note: Stick to Danger Level 4–5 for a fair fight; if you go above that level, it gets very hard to counter.
