Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater: Prison Cell Escape Guide

As you play through the game, you’ll soon have to plan a daring prison escape in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater. At first glance, it might seem impossible since Snake doesn’t have access to any of his weapons or useful gear. However, there are essentially three different methods of breaking out. Fans of the original will already be familiar with what to do here. If you’re completely new to the game, the following guide should help you make a break for it.

Prison Escape in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater: How To Do It

You might have already tried stabbing the guard with your fork through the bars or hiding underneath the bed. However, neither of these approaches will work. Instead, the goal is to get the guard inside the cell so that Snake can beat him up and escape. The following are the three main ways of doing this.

Take the Fake Death Pill

Pick up the fork and use it to dig up the fake death pill from within the cure menu. Hold left on the D-pad or Q on the keyboard to cycle through the items menu and select the F.DEATH.P item. Taking it will display the Game Over screen, but don’t worry, it’s not an actual death. Allow the guard to enter the cell to investigate before going into the item menu once again and consuming the REVIVAL.P item. Once Snake revives, you can beat up the guard and make your escape from the prison.

Enter Specific Radio Frequency

Open up your radio by pressing 2 on the keyboard or down on the D-pad. Select tune and then enter the frequency 144.75. Confirm the frequency. As soon as you do this, the cell gate will fly open, allowing Snake to make his prison escape in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater.

Force Snake To Become Sick

In this method, you will need to open the cure menu while the guard outside is watching. In the menu, make Snake’s model spin for around 10–12 seconds. Then, exit the menu, and Snake should become sick. The guard will open the cell door and come to help. That’s your opportunity to take him down and make a break for it.

After using any of these three methods, you will have to escape the prison complex by getting past several other guards. Then, you can finally reunite with Eva.
