Lost Soul Aside is a hack-and-slash third-person title that suffers from numerous performance issues. For starters, there is shimmering within the character’s hair, temporal stability, and anti-aliasing choices that make the image blurry.
There are two ways to play this game: one with pure rasterization and the other with RT. In either case, the game is extremely CPU-intensive. Before dialing in these settings and trying to fix the game’s micro-stuttering issues, ensure you have a CPU that is at least a Ryzen 5 5600X or better.
Note: The only upscaling and frame generation option currently available is the DLSS 4 Transformer model. The settings below do not guarantee the elimination of traversal stutters, micro-stutters between cinematics, and zone changes. The RTX 4060, RTX 4060 Ti, and RTX 4070 are all excellent options for 1080p gaming. With the 4060 Ti 16GB and 4070 12GB, gamers can switch to 1440p with quality upscaling and utilize the settings below.
It is best to extensively monitor CPU performance and the frame time graph with RTSS or Steam’s built-in performance metrics. If you’re experiencing CPU bottlenecks with rasterization, consider reducing the view distance, shadows, and post-processing to alleviate CPU usage. Unfortunately, using frame generation currently doesn’t mitigate CPU bottlenecks. Instead, it adds a noticeable input delay that ruins the gameplay experience.

Starting with GPUs such as the RTX 4070 Super, the game can be maxed out at cinematic settings with maximum RT and still deliver over 60 FPS. However, the recommended CPU for handling this level of GPU performance is at least a Ryzen 5 7600 or an Intel Core i5 12600K.
As GPU performance continues to climb with models like the RTX 4070 Ti Super, 4080, and 4090, CPU requirements are expected to increase in the future. Otherwise, you will waste GPU performance and remain fully CPU-bound. That said, below are the recommended settings.
