The glider is an important tool to unlock in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar, as it allows you to quickly traverse the map and explore otherwise unreachable locations. Despite its flimsy build of giant leaves and plant stems, the glider is capable of considerable flight, and its effectiveness varies with the day’s winds. This guide outlines how to unlock the glider in Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar, its customization, and how to use the wind to soar higher.
Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar: Glider Guide
To unlock the glider, you’ll have to meet the Nature Sprites and convince them to appear at the Bazaar. However, the Nature Sprites aren’t available when the game begins. Instead, their quest appears during the middle of Spring in Year 1, around Day 13.
When the Sprites appear, their quest will be visible on the map, depicted by a large orange marker on the edge of town. Travel to the Sprites’ home and interact with them to convince them to join you in town.
On the Saturday following your interaction, head to the Bazaar area. A cutscene will play showing the Nature Sprites trading in the market. By the end of the cutscene, the Sprites will gift you a glider. If you have purchased the “Trunk of Transformation” DLC for the game, the Ninja Glider will become available to you at this point in the story.
How To Use the Glider
To use the glider, hold the jump button while you are in mid-air and use the directional keys to maneuver. You can hold the jump button right after jumping or while falling from a height to activate the glider. Let go of the jump button to close the glider and fall to the ground.
Your gliding speed is determined by the wind level on a given day. Check the wind level using the windsock icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. You can freely glide across the map to forage for items, as Gliding does not consume stamina. When the wind speed is at the hurricane level, you will lose control of gliding direction and soar quickly across the map in random directions.

How To Customize the Glider
You can customize the basic glider by changing its colors to match your outfit or ongoing events. To do so, spend Happy Energy to purchase different glider colors from the Happy Shoppe. The glider’s color will change depending on which coloration you select for it.
