The Merchant Tab is a quality-of-life feature in Path of Exile 2, and allows you to access the trade market very easily.
Trading is an intrinsic part of the Path of Exile 2 experience, but to avail it to its fullest, you need to get the Merchant Tab in Path of Exile 2. It allows you to put items up for trade, which other players can then access and purchase.
The Merchant Tab cuts down the need for accessing the online trade website and is one of the best quality-of-life additions in the game. Here’s a guide on how to get the Merchant Tab in Path of Exile 2.

How To Purchase a Merchant Tab in Path of Exile 2
There are two ways to unlock the Merchant’s Tab in Path of Exile 2. The first way involves directly purchasing the Merchant Tab through the Microtransactions menu in the game. You can do so by following the steps below:
- Pause the game by pressing the ESC key.
- In the pause menu, click on the “Microtransaction Shop” button. This is the fifth button from the top. This will open up the Microtransaction Shop.
- Here, click on the Merchant Tab banner.
- You’ll then be presented with two purchase options. You can either buy a single Merchant Tab for 40 Points, or a pack of six for 200 Points.

How To Convert a Merchant Tab in Path of Exile 2
The other way of unlocking a Merchant Tab in Path of Exile 2 requires you to convert your Premium Tab to a Merchant Tab. You can do so by following the steps below:
- Head to the official Path of Exile 2 website.
- Sign in with your account, and then click on your name on the top right. This will open a drop-down menu.
- Click on “My Account” there. This will open an overview of your account.
- Look to the left side of your screen, and you’ll find a “Merchant Tab Upgrade.”
- You’ll then see a list of all of your Premium Tabs. You can then upgrade these tabs to the Merchant Tab.

How To Unlock the Merchant in Path of Exile 2
Once you have the Merchant Tab, you need the merchant Ange to access it. There are two different points at which you can unlock the merchant in Path of Exile 2. If you bought the Supporter Pack of the game, you unlock the merchant much earlier.
If you’re in the free version of Path of Exile 2, you will first have to reach Act 4 in the game. Once you’re in Act 4, clear out all of the islands on the edge of the map, after which you’ll unlock Ange as your merchant. If you have the Supporter Edition, Ange will unlock automatically on reaching Act 4. This will save you time from clearing out the islands.
