Adding Custom Music in Super Robot Wars Y
Just like the previous Super Robot Wars titles, it is possible to add custom background music in SRW Y on both PC and Steam Deck. Unfortunately, there is no way to add custom music when playing on a Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 at the moment. However, you need to make sure that the audio file is in MPEG1 Layer 3 (MP3) format.
Moreover, the files need to be at a sampling frequency of 32000 Hz, 44100 Hz, or 48000 Hz. The supported bit rate formats are 96 kbps, 112 kbps, 128 kbps, 160 kbps, 192 kbps, 224 kbps, 256 kbps, and 320 kbps.

You might have to use an audio editor to make the files work, as many downloaded audio files these days are in VBR (Variable Bit Rate). You need to change them to CBR (Constant Bit Rate). Once this is done, you can finally move on to importing these files to the right destination.
Importing Audio Files
Once you have the audio files ready, you need to look for the SRYMUSIC folder. This will be inside the AppData folder for PC users. The exact path is:
C:\Users\[your Windows username]\AppData\LocalLow\Bandai Namco Entertainment\SRYMUSIC.

If you are playing the game on a Steam Deck, though, the path will be one of these two:
