Grow a Garden offers a range of valuable mutations that can exponentially multiply your crop’s value. The new Fairy Event introduced a number of mutations. One of the most valuable additions was the Corrosive Mutation. It is a result of the combination of two mutations. Let’s learn more about it.
What Is the Grow a Garden Corrosive Mutation?
The Corrosive Mutation is a powerful crop mutation that significantly increases the value of your crops by applying an 85x multiplier to their selling price. It was introduced on August 30, 2025, just before the Fairy Event update. It is triggered by a combined mutation of two specific mutations.
How To Get the Corrosive Mutation
To obtain the Corrosive Mutation, you must combine the Toxic Mutation and the Acidic Mutation on a single crop in your garden:
Obtain the Toxic Mutation:
- Source: The Toxic Mutation is exclusively applied by the Cockatrice pet.
- How it Works: The Cockatrice has an ability that activates every 10 minutes, spitting venom at up to five different fruits, eggs, or pets in your garden. If the venom hits a fruit, it applies the Toxic Mutation, which provides a 15x value multiplier.
Obtain the Acidic Mutation:
- Source: The Acidic Mutation is triggered during the Acid Rain weather event, which is part of the standard weather rotation since the Trading and Cooking update.
- How it Works: During an Acid Rain event, fully mature crops in your garden have a chance to gain the Acidic Mutation. Only fully grown crops can receive this mutation, and it cannot coexist with Wet or Drenched mutations. The Acid Rain event also provides a +50% growth speed bonus.
