How To Find the Night Vision Goggles in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater

You can find the Night Vision Goggles in the Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch level in the game. If you don’t remember which level this is, it is the dark cave you enter right after your boss fight with Ocelot. 

After defeating Ocelot, you are attacked by The Pain and fall into a cave system. Once you wake up, your surroundings will be pitch black. Wait for a few seconds, and your eyes will adjust to the darkness. Once they do, you’ll see two paths with dim lights.

Take the path on the left, and you’ll reach a cavern with a waterfall. Acquire the torch beside the waterfall and continue down the single path you see. You’ll then reach another section of the cave where the path splits into two.

Stick to the right and climb onto the ledge to continue ahead. Crawl through the gap below and follow this path straight. You’ll reach a brightly lit section of the cave with a hole in the middle. You’ll find the Night Vision Goggles at the end of this room, right beside the hole.

How To Equip and Use the Night Vision Goggles in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater

Once you’ve found the Night Vision Goggles, using them is fairly easy: 

• Open the Survival menu. 
• Click on the Backpack button. 
• Select the Items tab at the top of the screen. 
• Here, you will see a list of items. Select the Night Vision Goggles. 
• Once you’ve selected the items, you can then equip the goggles by holding the Items button and selecting NVGs. This is D-Pad left on consoles and Q on PC. 
• Then, press the Items button again to use the gadget.

Best Levels To Use the Night Vision Goggles

The Night Vision Goggles are best used for any level that takes place at night. There are quite a few such levels, with the most important being the Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch itself. You’ll need the NVGs or the torch to navigate your way through, as it is completely dark. The next time you can use them is when raiding the warehouse and labs. They are also useful in some of the darker indoor sections of the game.
