In this guide, we shall go over how to get into the Pathem Abbey in Hell Is Us, one of the main locations in the game.
Hell Is Us is chock-full of secrets, but the Pathem Abbey is one that taunts you fairly early on in Acasa Marshes in the region of Jova. There’s no way to enter the Abbey, as the entrance to it is seemingly blocked off. There might be another way in, but exploring the Acasa Marshes just for the entrance is a daunting prospect.
The Acasa Marshes are full of enemies, and you probably backlog the task of finding the entrance for later. Well, find the entrance you shall, because the Pathem Abbey is an area you have to visit as part of the game’s story. If you can’t find a way in, our guide is here to help.

How To Enter the Pathem Abbey in Hell Is Us
You enter the Pathem Abbey during the Keystone of Ecstacy questline in Hell Is Us. The questline requires you to investigate the National Library of Lethe, but this area is inside the Panthem Abbey.
In order to enter the Pathem Abbey, make your way to the blocked gate on the southeast end of the Acasa Marshes. From here, take a left while facing the blockade and continue along the path, keeping the mountains to your right. Stick close to these mountains, and you’ll eventually run into a set of barbed wire, with a giant bonfire opposite it. Beside the barbed wire is an entrance to a cave.
Clear the enemies and take the passage to enter the cave. The path is dark but linear. Keep heading straight until you enter a well-lit hall. Drop the ladder ahead of you and immediately take a right. You’ll see another ladder in front of you. Take this ladder, and then follow the path straight until you find Abbot Jaffer. Talk to Abbot Jaffer, and you’ll then be able to enter the Pathem Abbey.

Why Should You Go To the Pathem Abbey?
As stated earlier, the Pathem Abbey houses the National Library of Lethe. This library is key for the Keystone of Ecstacy questline since it contains information useful to you. The information will then lead you to other sections of the Pathem Abbey. Since this questline is part of the main story in Hell Is Us, you really can’t afford to skip it if you wish to progress and see what’s next in the story.
