Hollow Knight Silksong has over 50 bosses that you can fight, and Bell Beast is the first one you encounter in The Marrow. This is one of the first boss fights in the game that is going to pose a challenge to the players, as defeating it requires reasonable control over Hornet’s movement and combat mechanics.

As mentioned before, the Bell Beast is located in The Marrow region, specifically the upper part. You can enter the boss’s room by dropping down from Mosshome and going right. Note that you need the Silkspear, which is Hornet’s first ability in Silksong. If you are having trouble locating the Bell Beast, refer to the image above to find its exact location.

The Bell Beast is a large white bug that constantly charges at you from across the arena. The moveset is akin to the Moss Charger boss in Hollow Knight. Along with charge attacks, the Bell Beast occasionally jumps across the arena instead of charging ahead. Moreover, the boss can either bring down or throw Bells on the arena in different patterns. Each hit from the Bell Beast does two damage to Hornet.

Once you hit the boss for enough time, it enters Phase 2. The phase transition is accompanied by falling bells from the ceiling, which the Bell Beast now uses during the charge attack as well.

Bell Beast Boss Tips and Tricks

Defeating the Bell Beast can be difficult, so here are some tips and tricks to help you defeat this boss:

When the fight starts, try to stay in the middle of the arena. By doing so, you get enough time to either jump or attack the boss during the charge attack.
Heal only when the boss jumps over you across the arena. You won’t get hit while healing this way.
When the Bell Beast enters Phase 2, you can see where the bells fall. A stream of sand falls from the ceiling before the bell drops. Additionally, you can push away the bells by jumping and attacking them to move them away from you.
Don’t get greedy while attacking. Despite having low health, you die from taking only three hits from the boss. Moreover, you can safely heal during one move, which is quite rare. Therefore, take your time and attack without taking damage to win the fight.

Once you defeat the Bell Beast, you unlock the Silk Heart and Bellways, a fast-travel mechanic using the boss itself.
