The Shard Pendant is one of the first Crest charms that you will encounter. It is more than just a cosmetic item and will come in handy quickly. This tool will help you get your hands on more and more shell shards, which in turn will prove beneficial throughout the game. This is why it is essential to unlock it as early as possible, as you will receive better rewards for defeating any creature in Hollow Knight Silksong.
The Shard Pendant is inside a room near the location where you will find the first merchant of the game. Climb up the vanishing stairs, defeat any enemies you face in your way, and then enter the room to the left. Here, you will find a carcass. The Shard Pendant will be available nearby. Once you have it in your inventory, you now need to head to any bench to start using it.
