Hollow Knight Silksong: How To Unlock Wall Grab

The Wall Grab in Hollow Knight Silksong helps Hornet traverse areas that were previously blocked by high walls. Here’s how you can get it.

The Wall Grab in Hollow Knight Silksong is an item called the Ancestral Cling Grip. You inherit this piece after the Sister Splinter boss fight and a difficult platforming section. This equipment lets you grab and spring along walls, unlocking new areas to traverse through. You’ll have to obtain the Drifter’s cloak before unlocking the wall grab, as it is required to parkour through Shellwood. Here’s how you can get the wall grab in Hollow Knight Silksong.

How To Unlock Wall Grab in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Wall Grab ancestral art is unlocked after beating Sister Splinter in Shellwood, who opens up access to the left side of Shellwood. But, you will need a Drifter’s Cloak to ride the updrafts and reach Bellhart before getting the Wall Grab. After you reach the town of Bellhart, a bench lies open for you to rest and save your progress.

If you want a cool Easter egg, you can rest at the bench and restart the game. Here are the directions on how to reach the Sister Splinter fight and platform till you acquire the Wall Grab in Hollow Knight Silksong.

• Go to the left side of Bellhart town, where you will reach Shellwood. Before going further to the left, there are a bunch of white flowers that are similar to the fruits in Hunter’s March. Platforming through that area will lead you to a big center.

• Go to the top-right to leave this area. Keep to your right until you reach an area where you have two options, up or down. Go up towards the Gahlia (white flower on the wall that ejects its head).

• Before you reach the end of that area, you will find an elevator that will send you down to Shellwood’s bench. After activating the bench, you can proceed up the lift and to the right.

• Follow the path, specifically up and left. This will bring you to Sister Splinter’s boss fight arena.

After the Sister Splinter Boss Fight

• After beating Sister Splinter, a path should open up to your left.

• Keep going in the left direction, where you’ll meet a Dahlia blocking a narrow path; defeat it and keep to your left.

• You will notice an area full of spikes on the left and two Dahlias on the left wall.

• After reaching the next area, keep going in the left and up direction. Platforming through the Dahlia is difficult, but the trick is to jump high enough and pogo your way up to the platform.

• There are two Dahlias placed on the steps that you have to either pogo from both cleanly or tank one hit. Keep platforming to the right, and you will reach the Wall Grab in Hollow Knight Silksong.
