While a good chunk of these puzzles are optional, some of the trickiest ones are mandatory for the main story. One such puzzle involves the basement door in Vitalis’s house. In Acasa Marshes, after you’ve talked to the Blacksmith’s apprentice, you will unlock clues to Vitalis’s house and its location. Finding the house is quite easy, as it’s right at the center of Jova. However, finding the house is only part of the equation.
After you’ve found Vitalis’s house, you need to make your way to the basement. However, to pick up the key item needed to progress the story, you need to unlock the door in the basement. Initially, the puzzle might look quite tricky, as the game doesn’t give you any hints on how you can solve it. However, the solution to the door puzzle is quite simple. How To Reach Vitalis’ House in Hell Is Us
You can technically go to Vitalis’s house as soon as you arrive at Acasa Marshes. However, you won’t be able to enter the apartment until you find a key. Thankfully, finding the key is quite easy. Here are the steps to obtain the key to Vitalis’s house:
- You simply need to go past the Timeloop near the marshes and proceed straight by following the road.
- At the end of the road, you will see a few enemies as well as a Haze of Ecstasy.
- We recommend defeating these enemies to make exploring the area a tad safer. However, you can ignore them if you’re running low on Med Kits.
- Once you reach the end of the road, take the path to the right, which leads to a tunnel.
- Inside the tunnel, you will find a group of Hollow Walkers. You will need to defeat all of them and proceed to the end of the tunnel.
- To the right, you will find a room with two survivors. Talk to the survivor, and you will receive Vitalis’s house key.
With the key in your possession, return to Vitalis’s house and make your way to the basement.
How To Unlock the Door in Vitalis’s Basement
Here are the steps to unlocking the basement door in Vitalis’s house:
- When you enter Vitalis’s house, you can enter two of the rooms with the closed doors. Inside these rooms, you will find two photographs. Pick the photographs up and make your way to the basement ladder.
- Before you climb down the ladder, you will find a chest with a crest on top of it. Interacting with the chest will allow you to place your pendant on it. Furthermore, you will find another photograph inside the chest.
- Additionally, right before climbing down the ladder, take a note of the number (13) on the green toy car that is stashed in the basement.
- After you make your way to the locked door in the basement, you will find the adjacent wall with three markings.
- Interacting with the marking will allow you to place the three photographs on the wall. Make sure to place the photographs according to the outline of the markings.
- Within each photograph, you will find a number. Combining these numbers will give you the code to the locked door.
- However, for the third photograph, you won’t get a number from the picture itself. Instead, this is where the number on the green toy car comes into play.
