This guide will go over all the steps to reach the secret Act 3 of Hollow Knight: Silksong so you can fight the ‘true’ final boss.

Many players might be unaware about the hidden Act 3 present in Hollow Knight: Silksong. This secret part of the game has a bunch of hidden requirements you need to finish to unlock. Reaching it is not an easy process.

You will need to be familiar with the Wish system of the game, and explore every nook and cranny of Pharloom to unlock this act. Here is how to unlock the hidden ending of Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Act 3 Unlock Requirements in Hollow Knight Silksong

You will need to complete almost all the Wishes that are available in the game. The exact list is unknown; however, completing the following was enough to activate Act 3. Still, all of these quests might not be necessary.

Apart from the given Wishes, you will also need to move the Flea Caravan to the Putrefied Ducts. This is a mandatory step and skipping it will lock Act 3. After you have fulfilled the above steps, go and talk to Songclave.

This will start the Silk and Soul Wish.

How To Finish ‘Silk and Soul’ and Start Act 3 of Hollow Knight Silksong

You must complete the aforementioned Silk and Soul Wish. This requires you to get four unique items, which will help you make the Soul Snare. This key item will be necessary for unlocking Act 3.

You need four items to finish this quest:

• Maiden’s Soul
• Hermit’s Soul
• Seeker’s Soul
• Snare Setter

Once you have all four, return to Songclave. This will finish the quest and net you the key item necessary to defeat Silk. Now proceed as usual. Go and defeat Grand Mother Silk. After you defeat her, use the Needolin instead of the Bind option.

This will start a different cutscene from the normal ending, which will eventually lead into Act 3 of Hollow Knight: Silksong.
