How To Unlock Act 2 in Hollow Knight Silksong

The best way to unlock Act 2 is to traverse through Blasted Steps and defeat The Last Judge located at the entrance to the Citadel. To reach Blasted Steps, you first need to get to Haunted Bellhart. You can access this location by defeating Moorwing in Greymoor. After arriving at Haunted Bellhart, defeat the Weaver to obtain the Needolin ability. This ability is crucial, as you need it to enter the Citadel.

Blasted Steps is not a safe place, as it is filled with platforming and puzzles. Remember to acquire Cling Grip to move through this region. Moreover, there are many flying monsters that can bother you. In this area, you will find a bell required to open the Citadel gates. After defeating The Last Judge, talk to pilgrims to acquire some musical knowledge. Finally, play the Needolin and bells at the door to unlock Act 2.

Alternate Method To Reach Act 2 in Hollow Knight Silksong

There is an alternate route you can opt to unlock Act 2 in Hollow Knight Silksong, but it is not for the fainthearted. You can reach the Citadel from Sinner’s Road, which is accessed from Greymoor. This is a hidden route, and first, you arrive at Halfway Home. Just after entering this area, you will find a bench to rest on.

After resting, head back and take the elevator. Jump on the elevator, head right, and keep climbing until you reach the end. Congratulations, you have arrived at Sinner’s Road, but things get very dark from here. Harder enemies and various deadly traps await. You need Cling Grip to scale cliffs and reach key locations. Reach Exhaust Organ and travel through the mist. Use Needolin to get a hint about your next stop in this region. After that, you need to defeat a fairly difficult boss to reach Grand Bellway.

Finally, enter the main shaft and commence Act 2 in Hollow Knight Silksong.
