The Kalos Starter Trio

The Direct showed that Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja will get their own Mega Evolution forms. When Pokemon X and Y were first released, it was strange that the starters of the region did not receive a Mega Evolution. However, this is now being rectified, as the Direct just showed the new Mega Forms of all three Pokemon.
- Mega Chesnaught gains a staff and a cape, with some changes to its shell like back. Chesnaught looks like a martial master, assisted in combat by a trusty staff.
- Mega Delphox summons a fiery levitating broom, reminiscent of a witch to fly. She’s also accompanied by twin flaming sticks to her sides.
- Mega Greninja also summons a construct. This Pokemon pulls out a floating Water Shuriken and stands upside down on it. The end result looks like a ninja (which makes sense), standing upside down on the roof.
Mega Raichu X and Y

These two were revealed to be a part of the new Mega Dimension paid DLC for Pokemon Legends Z-A. Their respective tails and ears change forms to appear as an X or a Y, depending on their forms.
The paid DLC will also bring new story content; however, the release date for that is unclear at the moment. We might even see more Mega Evolutions in the form of paid DLC in the future. However, for now, that was everything Nintendo showed at the Direct on September 12, 2025, regarding the new Mega Evolutions for Pokemon Legends Z-A.
