Squid Kid in 99 Nights in the Forest is one of the children that you’ll have to rescue as part of a quest that resolves the mystery behind the park’s closure. He’s the third kid that you need to save, and doing so can be challenging if you don’t know how. In the following guide, we’ll explore where the Squid Kid is and how you can rescue him in the game.
Where To Find the Squid Kid in 99 Nights in the Forest
You will have to find the Squid Kid after you have rescued the Dino Kid and the Kraken Kid. You can recognize the Squid Kid by his white and black striped shirt and the cap that has a squid on it. However, before you can actually locate this particular child, you’ll have to upgrade your campfire to Level 5.
Doing so will unlock the entire forest, allowing you to travel to the depths where the Squid Kid is. If you interact with his missing poster, you’ll find an arrow that points in his direction. Since your map will be different from ours, we can’t give you an exact location or coordinates for where he’ll be. However, simply follow that arrow on his missing poster to locate the kid.
He’s the third most traumatized child out of all of the missing children. He got lost exploring a cave with his flashlight. That’s when the Deer approached him from behind and abducted him.
How To Rescue Squid Kid in 99 Nights in the Forest
Squid Kid is quite difficult to rescue and retrieve. You will find two bears guarding the cave where the child is locked. You have to fight both these enemies and defeat them. Doing so will result in the bears dropping the Yellow Keys. Before starting the fight, keep in mind that Bears in the game have a much larger HP pool when compared to ordinary wolves.
So, don’t expect this to be a simple battle. We don’t recommend taking on these animals at close range. Instead, a long-range weapon, such as the Tactical Shotgun, The Rifle, the Laser Cannon, or the Ray Gun should work well in this scenario.
After you’ve dealt with the bears, you can pick up the keys from them. Then, proceed to open the cave door, freeing the Squid Kid in the process. After saving him, the Squid Kid will increase the days passed multiplier. That means the days will pass by faster, allowing you to survive the 99 nights quicker.
