The Extinct Event update in Steal a Brainrot was released on September 13, 2025. With this update, players can now craft a variety of new characters, experience several Traits, and a brand new Ritual. The event revolves around the Extinct Event, which happens across a server every few hours.
During this time, you can purchase an Extinct Brainrot from the conveyor belt. In the following article, we’ll take a look at everything you should know about this event update.
New Content Introduced Through the Extinct Event Update in Steal a Brainrot
The following is all of the new content that you can find in the game post the Extinct Event update:
Extinct Event
The Extinct event happens every two hours and lasts for three minutes each time. You can see the countdown timer for this event just above a statue that’s beside the Coin Shop. While this event is active, the sky will grow dark. Also, fossils will begin appearing throughout the map. Any brainrot that comes to the conveyor belt has the chance of receiving the Extinct Trait.
Lastly, one Extinct Brainrot will also appear during this event. This one can be Extinct Matteo, Extinct Tralalero, or Extinct Ballerina. You can buy this Extinct Brainrot with cash, but you’ll have to do so before another player in the same server does so.

New Ritual
The update also brings the Los Chicleteiras Ritual into the game, and you can perform it with two Chicleteira Bicicleteiras. These are secret Brainrots that you can find appearing on the conveyor belt during Admin Events. Each of them will set you back by $750 million.
To complete the ritual, you and another player will need to place the two Chicleteira Bicicleteiras near the conveyor belt entrance. Now, both players will need to run on the sides of the conveyors until a magical aura connects both the placed Brainrots.
If you do it correctly, the conveyor belt will disappear and a highway will appear in its place. On the sides of this highway, you’ll spot several Chicleteira Bicicleteiras. Apart from them, one Los Chicleteiras will also spawn here. You can purchase that Brainrot for $1.2 billion.
New Traits
The following are the new Traits that the Extinct Event update in Steal a Brainrot introduces:
- Extinct: Exclusive to the Extinct Event, this particular trait causes a skull icon to appear above the name of the Brainrots and ribs protruding out of their chests. These Brainrots will get a 4x bonus to their earnings.
- Graffiti: You receive this particular Trait after performing the Los Chicleteiras ritual successfully. The Brainrots that receive this Trait will get a 6x increase in their earnings rate and a graffiti effect.
