In this guide, we shall go over how to get rid of the Clawmaidens in the Citadel in Hollow Knight Silksong.
The Clawmaidens are by far the most annoying enemies in Hollow Knight Silksong, and they seem to spawn infinitely in the Citadel. Getting rid of them is no easy task. Each time you kill one, a new Clawmaiden pops up, ready to leech Silk off of you. Their seemingly infinite spawn rate makes the Clawmaidens’ room in the Citadel a chore to get through.
If you’re stuck in this room and simply wish to get rid of them, there’s a way you can do so. You need to access a secret area to accomplish this, and our guide is here to help you with that.
How To Get to the Clawmaidens Room in Hollow Knight Silksong
To get rid of the Clawmaidens in Hollow Knight Silksong, you first need to enter the High Halls. Head left from the bench in The Forums to come here. Once you’re here, head up from the signboard at the entrance, and head up to the room above. In the next room, take an immediate left to another room.
Once you’re in this new room, head all the way left to the dead end. You’ll find a cart here. Attack this cart and push it to the middle of the room. Use the cart as a jumping platform and move to the room above. You’ll find a gate here, which you can then interact with to enter the dreaded Clawmaidens room.

How To Get Rid of the Clawmaidens in Hollow Knight Silksong
To get rid of the Clawmaidens in Hollow Knight Silksong, you need to follow the steps below:
- Enter the Clawmaidens’ room.
- Run past the Clawmaidens and the first cart. You’ll find a second cart ahead. Push this cart toward the right end of the room.
- As you push the cart, you’ll see a crack in the ceiling with light pouring through. You need to push the cart under this crack and use it to jump up.
- While pushing the cart, you’ll be swarmed by the Clawmaidens. Keep moving around the area to outmaneuver them and kill them whenever you can. Remember that your goal is to push the cart.
- Once the cart is under the gap, break the ceiling to create a passage to the room above. Head up and then attack the first lever you see. This will unlock another room with a lever. Attack this lever to enter a final room with tons of webs. Destroy these webs to get rid of the Clawmaidens.
