The Wreath of Purity in Hollow Knight Silksong is a tool that helps you stay safe from Muckmaggots in Bilewater. The Bilewater region has infested water bodies that attach maggots to Hornet, which then eat away at her Silk. Moreover, this makes healing nearly impossible, as you first have to unattach the maggots with a regular bind, given that you gather enough silk in a short period of time.

Location of the Wreath of Purity in Hollow Knight Silksong
The Wreath of Purity is located in a hidden location in the Putrified Ducts region. The best way to reach the area is to start from the bench at the Huntress, as it is the closest respawn point to the item location. From here, follow these steps to reach the Wreath of Purity:
- Start from the Huntress’s hut and keep going right till you enter the long hallway.
- Jump up the platforms to take a better path. You can either use the Faydown Cloak to double jump or pogo off the flying enemy that spawns near the entrance of the room.
- Keep going right till you reach the end of the hallway and jump up to reach the upper platforms in the room.
- Now, start going left while dodging the Barnak enemies that pull you to the ceiling. You can use the Clawline ability to go past their hanging tongues easily.
- Reach the end of the upper tunnels and climb up by breaking a fragile wall.
- Break the passage to the left for easy access to the rest of the map and proceed to the right.
At the end of the room, you can find the Wreath of Purity on a large floating platform. Lastly, you can use the previously opened passage to return to the bench and equip it.

How Does the Wreath of Purity Work in Silksong?
The Wreath of Purity is a Blue Tool that, when equipped, repels Muckmaggots when swimming in infested waters. This makes navigation in the Bilewaters region much easier, as you won’t have to worry about getting infested as often.
Note that the Wreath of Purity has a durability bar that can be seen underneath your health. Being in the maggot-infested water degrades the durability of the item till it breaks. When the Wreath of Purity breaks, it loses its effect, and you end up getting infested. However, you can repair the item for free after sitting on a bench.
It is highly recommended to obtain this item for the Groal the Great fight, as it is easy to fall into the infested water in the arena. Moreover, the runback to the boss arena gets much easier, as you won’t have to worry about losing health that often.
