Nyleth is an important boss you face during Act 3 of Hollow Knight Silksong. You need to defeat this boss to complete the Heart of the Woods Wish. Although the boss does have some gimmicks you need to maneuver around, the overall fight is not too difficult.
Regardless, you will likely want to practice your pogo jumps on whichever Crest you are most proficient in. Here is how to beat this boss.
Where To Find Nyleth in Hollow Knight Silksong?
If you start the Heart of the Woods questline, you will need to defeat Shrine Guardian Seth and Nyleth. This article focuses on Nyleth, which is not particularly hard to locate if you have already reached Seth.
- From the Grand Gate Bench, go left once you reach the vertical corridor. Use the Silk Soar ability to fly upward and cling to the left side of the wall halfway up.
- You need to move up and down the wall until you spot a small indent inside it. This will be a weak spot that you can break open to reveal a hidden passage.
- Jump inside and proceed leftward to reach Shrine Guardian Seth, and eventually Nyleth.
Hollow Knight Silksong: Nyleth Boss Fight Overview
Nyleth will only feel difficult at first because you do not have any floor to stand on. Therefore, you must hover or stick to the walls for the entirety of this boss fight. Meanwhile, the boss itself will use the following moves:
- Dash: Nyleth charges from one wall to the other. Whichever wall it is attached to after dashing also gets covered in thorns.
- Spinning Melee: The boss will swing its head rapidly, doing damage in a nearby area.
- Explosion: Nyleth unleashes a damaging explosion in a nearby radius. You should immediately Swift Step out of the glowing circle.
- Thorn Balls: The boss roars and markers appear beneath the ground to indicate the columns of its attack. Spiked spheres will emerge from the ground and drop after a short lob upward.
- Spit: Nyleth unleashes projectiles rapidly in every direction. Your best bet is to stick to the opposite wall and dodge the incoming projectiles.
How To Beat Nyleth in Hollow Knight Silksong: Tips and Tricks
Here are some ways to make this boss quite a bit easier to deal with:
- Practice your pogo jump timing properly. They will trivialize this boss fight a lot.
- Using the Ascendant’s Grip Tool is a great idea here, as it lets you cling to the wall without worrying about falling or jumping into an incoming projectile.
- The Beast Crest’s ability is also useful in this case if you want to go berserk and pogo jump on top of this boss while healing.
