The Crawfather is one of many hidden bosses who is locked behind the final act of Hollow Knight Silksong. Here’s how to defeat him.
You need to do a lot of hunting if you wish to fight the Crawfather boss in Hollow Knight Silksong. This can be a very tough fight to attempt because you are not just fighting the Crawfather alone. Instead, this is a fight against the entire Court of Craws. There will be plenty of interruptions from small enemies, which might prove to be even more troublesome than the Crawfather himself. However, this guide should be able to help you sort out this minion and boss combined challenge.
Where To Find Crawfather in Hollow Knight Silksong?
You will need to do a long list of tasks involving obtaining the journal entries of four specific creatures. However, the fourth of these creatures can only be fought in Act 3. Once that happens, you need to head to the rightmost part of Greymoor and head inside the gate at that area. There will be a locked door here, where you can use this Craw Summons to open the door and head inside. Proceed through the tunnels here and you will reach the boss room for the Crawfather, or the Court of Craws.
Hollow Knight Silksong: Crawfather Boss Fight Overview
Crawfather by himself is not as serious of a threat. However, this fight is made tougher due to you facing the entire Court of Craws together. There will be lots of enemies you have encountered previously till now. From this lineup, the Crawfather is likely the only one you would be unfamiliar with. The moves he uses are:
- Beak Charge: The Crawfather hovers in the air, then dives diagonally down with his beak.
- Beak Frenzy: He rears back his head and smashes the ground in front of him while moving forward. This happens three times.
- Summon: The boss calls for support from the Court of Craws.
- Spiky Chains: Crawfather flies into the air and summons chains flying outwards in every direction. After a brief moment, they get covered in spikes as well.
- Beak Dive: Immediately after the Spiky Chains move, the Crawfather dives down with its beak.
How To Beat Crawfather in Hollow Knight Silksong: Tips and Tricks
There are a bunch of ways in which you can make this fight easier for yourself. These involve a combination of Crests and Tools combined with Silk Skills as well.
- The Beast Crest is amazing for this fight in particular when combined with the Flea Brew to increase your attack speed. This lets you get your Silk back quickly to activate its great healing effect. Since you are likely to get hit multiple times from the boss and his minions, the Beast Crest essentially turns it into an all-out brawl.
- You could also consider using the Plasmium Phial to enter the regenerating mask state. This would likely allow you to make a lot more mistakes in between. Although, this would come at the cost of retreating when you get low on health.
- Lastly, Thread Storm is likely the Silk Skill you want to consider using for this boss fight, as you can get multiple enemies with this skill.
