Follow our step-by-step guide to complete the ‘Her Flaming Vision’ mission in Borderlands 4 and defeat Callis the Ripper Queen.
‘Her Flaming Vision’ is the tenth main mission that continues the story of Borderlands 4, following ‘Unpaid Tab.’ Callis the Ripper Queen has taken the Command Bolt and is employing it in her nefarious scheme. You must reach her fortress in the Crater and retrieve the device, even if you have to face the villainess herself.
Borderlands 4: Her Flaming Vision Walkthrough
Her Flaming Vision features a dramatic difficulty spike in its second half. Ensure that you are at least at level 14 and have reliable equipment for the mission. Completing side missions and contracts is a great way to level up and acquire more loot. Completing Her Flaming Vision will reward you with:
- Epic Assault Rifle
- Rip It Out Vault Hunter Head
- Punchy Whoopster Vehicle
- Money, XP, and Eridium
Part 1: Reach the Crater
Begin the quest by speaking to Levaine in Carcadia. Callis the Ripper Queen has moved on to the next stage of her plan at the Crater, but Zane has an idea. Travel northwest up the mountain to meet Zane and set up the explosives he gives you to clear the path ahead. When that doesn’t work, enter your vehicle and drive into the obstructing rocks at full throttle.
Make sure you pass over the speed ramp on the ground to destroy the rocks. Summon your vehicle and back away from the ramp just enough to reach top speed. Then, drive down toward the speed ramp while using your boosters. Unfortunately, you aren’t able to launch yourself far enough across the chasm and will need more thrust. Head to the Gunworks to clear it of Rippers and look for the Spatial Accelerator.
Climb the Drilldozer
The Spatial Accelerator is inside the Drilldozer Deluxe, a giant drilling machine. Destroy its turrets and jump onto it from the nearby buildings. After interacting with the maintenance access, jump off the machine and head to the broken-down crawler marked by the objective icon.
Kill Holey Moley and take the override key he drops. Return to the Drilldozer and interact with the maintenance access to open the engine room. Overheat the dozer by interacting with the two valves inside. Now, eject the spatial accelerator and return to Zane. Activate the two generators nearby, summon your vehicle, and drive over the ramp again to finally reach the Crater.

Part 2: Reach Callis’ Lair
As you land in the Crater, you’ll have an opportunity to sell and purchase consumables at two vending machines. Either fight through or bypass the enemy camps on the way to Callis’ Fortress.
Upon reaching the Moon-Called Throne, clear out all the Rippers in the area. The battlefield here is expansive, and you can move from cover to cover along the periphery and use long-range weapons. After passing through the area, you’ll have to kill Mudmouth and his “friends.” You can stand on the elevated platform by the fortress entrance and shoot down at them from the vantage point. With the miniboss defeated, enter Callis’ Fortress.
Fight your way through the fortress and follow the path to Callis’ lair. Defeat the Rippers at the entrance to open the door leading deeper into Callis’ domain. Keep following the path until you encounter two vending machines, and use them to prepare for a boss fight with the Ripper Queen herself.

Borderlands 4: How To Beat Callis the Ripper Queen
- Use Corrosive Damage to deplete Callis’ armored health bar quickly.
- Callis has a small drone hovering around her called the Ripper King. Destroy it early on to reduce a source of damage.
- If you get downed, destroying the bombs Callis spawns will revive you.

- Second Phase: When Callis is reduced to half her health pool, she jumps high up the wall on a web and spawns red hologram mounds around the arena. Entering the hologram structures will damage and ensnare you, lowering your movement speed. Her minions will appear at this juncture, and you should focus on eliminating them before she jumps back down.
After defeating Callis, take the Command Bolt and return to Levaine to complete ‘Her Flaming Vision.’
