Farsight emerges as a useful ability you can attain in Hollow Knight: Silksong to decipher how much of the game you have completed.
If you want to complete Hollow Knight: Silksong entirely, then the Farsight is one of the key components you will need. This basically acts as an ability that allows you to see how much of the game is left.
Since some achievements require you to complete the game fully, getting Farsight can be a great indicator to check your progress without using any external tools. However, the way to get this item/ability is locked behind the final act of Silksong.
How To Get Farsight in Hollow Knight Silksong
You need to wait until Act 3 of the game unlocks, and then delve into the Abyss. Once in this area, you will need to head to the locked door, which is the entrance to Weavenest Absolom. You need to play the Needolin to open the door and get inside.
(Note: The Weavenest Absolom entrance is marked in green in the above image.)
Once you are inside, you simply have to head to the right side and fall down the corridor. Now, use Silk Soar to fly back up, and use a combination of your Ancestral Arts to make your way to the right side (Swift Step, Drifter’s Cloak and even Clawline if necessary). Alternatively, you could simply use Clawline and Swift Step to jump from left to right, but be wary of the spikes near the edge of the other side.
You have almost reached the item. Simply walk to the right side and you will reach the glowing spot to interact with. If you are still confused, refer to the map image above to find the exact location of the Farsight (in red).
However, you will notice that the item is not yet working as you hoped. One final step remains to make this work.
Assemble Farsight
Even if you pick up this item, you won’t be able to sense the completion percent at the moment. Instead, you must go back to Bellhart and inside your Bellhome. Now, interact inside and the Farsight will get constructed.
This will display a short animation, leaving behind a display explaining the Farsight ability. You will now be able to see the percentage of the game you have completed in the menu. Additionally, you can now also see all the missing Tools, abilities, relics and more in your menu.
