Dying Light The Beast is easily the most visually impressive game Techland has ever produced. While the game is technically built on the same engine as Dying Light 2, it does ship with some noticeable improvements to its lighting system. For starters, Techland seems to have opted for a more modern, ray-traced global illumination system for The Beast. Previously, the developer relied on baked lighting in their games. While that did look good, it did fall short compared to most modern open-world games. In addition to RTGI, The Beast also ships with improved PBR systems, an overhauled weather cycle, as well as better HDR support.

However, all those graphical improvements do come at a cost. Dying Light The Beast comes with significantly beefier system specifications compared to Dying Light 2. Here’s everything you need to know about Dying Light The Beast’s minimum and recommended PC system requirements.
