In Borderlands 4, the Hackey Smack quest is actually a bounty contract that you can get from the Abandoned Post Safehouse in the Coastal Bonescape area. In this contract, you need to retrieve a stolen item known as Hackey Smack.

How To Complete the Hackey Smack Quest in Borderlands 4
Once you begin the bounty mission, you need to follow the marker on your map and arrive at the interiors of the Coastal Bonescape region. Additionally, you can refer to the image above to arrive at the precise location.
After reaching there, you will encounter an intense battle with multiple Rippers. Defeating them would not be a challenging task if you take cover behind objects occasionally. Once you take down the enemies, locate the house containing the Hackey Smack. Afterward, head to the first floor to collect the item beside a pillar.
Once you have the item, it is time to drop it at its designated location, which is at the Abandoned Post Safehouse. However, if you have spent some time in Borderlands 4, you would probably know that you can not fast travel while holding items in your hand. That was also the case while retrieving the Speller Yeller. Therefore, you need to manually take Hackey Smack to the location.
After reaching the Safehouse, you need to drop the Hackey Smack in a dropbox, which is located outside the Abandoned Post Safehouse. To do so, simply interact with it to place the item and complete the Hackey Smack quest.
