The Electroshock Therapy quest in Borderlands 4 lives up to its name, as you need to help a professor analyze the head of Rippers with a special machine. Additionally, this is a side quest in the game that is both rewarding and interesting. Although the mission’s objectives are pretty linear, completing the quest will not be a cakewalk due to several objectives.

How To Start the Electroshock Therapy Quest in Borderlands 4
To begin the Electroshock Therapy quest in BL4, you need to find and interact with Professor Ambreleigh, who is in his workshop in the Idolator’s Noose region. Therefore, follow the map marker and head east of the Someday Rise Safehouse to begin the hunt for the Professor.
Once you are there, you need to clear the area of the enemies. Afterward, talk to Professor Ambreleigh in the house with an open garage. Next, Ambreleigh will inform you that she requires specific items for her machine: a sample of Ordonite and a sample of Eridium.

How To Find Ordonite and Eridium Samples for Electroshock Therapy in Borderlands 4
Out of the two items, collect the Ordonite sample first, as it is close to the professor’s house. To find it, head to the compound directly north of the house. Once you arrive, take down the enemies present there. After the area is clear, look for two yellow-colored connected pipes. You can find the Ordonite sample on top of some crates between the two pipes.
To collect Eridium, follow the map to Roesmary’s Reserve, located east of the Professor’s home. Once you arrive there, you first need to take down the Rippers guarding the area. Next, look for the Eridium crystal, which appears as a purple-coloured crystal sitting on top of a machine. Now, simply shoot at it to break off a chunk. Once it drops, pick up the Eridium sample and return to the professor.
How To Complete Electroshock Therapy Quest in Borderlands 4
Once you return to the professor, simply place both samples in the highlighted section of the machine. Next, Ambreleigh will ask you to bring the head of the Meathead, which will spawn nearby, for the analysis. Therefore, you need to eliminate the enemy and bring its head to the machine.
