This is our detailed Anime Vanguards unit tier list after Update 8.5, and it shows which units lead the pack.
Anime Vanguards is a unique tower defense Roblox experience where you have the typical gameplay loop of such games, mixed with units from various popular anime series. And new units are being added in the game all the time. For instance, just recently, the developers released Update 8.5, through which they introduced several new units.
Every time new units arrive, the player community has to reevaluate their strategies and team compositions. If you want to know which of the current units are the best, here is our Anime Vanguards unit tier list post Update 8.5.
Anime Vanguards Unit Tier List: Which Units Are the Best?
We have divided the list into the following tiers.
- S tier
- A tier
- B tier
- C tier
- D tier
Now let’s jump straight into which units make up which of these tiers.
S Tier Units
The following units make up the S tier. They are without a doubt the best units in the game, including the Meta units. Some of them might not be Meta units yet, but they are as close to Meta as possible.

Only consider using the C tier units if you have no other option. Here are the units that make up our C tier:

We don’t really see a point to using any of the D tier units past the early hours of the game. The following units come under this category:
