Where Can You Find Loam in Hollow Knight Silksong?
To find Loam, you must progress the story all the way to the second act. You can find this NPC working in the Underworks to power the entire place by himself. He is a hardworking bug and does not show any regret walking on a treadmill, especially since he believes that the harder he works, the closer he will be to the Citadel.
You can interact with Loam, and he will first mistake you for someone sent to bring up the ladder. It is evident that he has been working longer than he should have, and whoever placed him there abused his commitment to his work. There is not much you can do with this NPC, and he will not give you any side quests or wishes to fulfill on his behalf.
What Happens To Loam in Act 3 of Hollow Knight Silksong?
It is worth noting that if you progress through the third act without meeting Loam, you cannot find him ever again. However, if you did bump into him early on, you would soon learn that Loam died on the job in the most literal sense. The ever-changing environment in Pharloom would cause the earth to shake. Those working in the Underworks, like this NPC, have been crushed to death.
It is an unfortunate way to go, especially since Loam only wanted to do his job properly, and he did not deserve his fate. Unlike most NPCs, this one stays where he is from the moment you meet him until he dies. In your first meeting, you could play him some fine tunes with the Needolin to give him some comfort before his inescapable fate in the third act.
