The Spread Eagle in EA’s latest Skate is a trick that players will need to perform to complete certain challenges and activities. It might look simple enough, but performing it in the game is not. Many players have run into the problem of not being able to do the trick properly. The controls are not that complex for it, but timing is essential. So in this guide, we will clear all confusion regarding the Spread Eagle in Skate and tell you how to do it.

As we mentioned, the Spread Eagle is a trick as well as one of many challenges in Skate that players need to complete for progression and rewards. Essentially, it looks exactly as it sounds, which is that your character is falling with his arms and legs spread out. Naturally, it is no easy task and can be difficult for both newcomers and veterans of the skateboarding video game genre.

To perform this trick and complete the challenge, you will need to get on top of a building and hit three separate canopies while being in the Spead Eagle pose. With it, controlling the trajectory of your fall is quite important, as you will need to hit the ground the right way to make it successful. Below are the controls for the Spread Eagle with both PlayStation and Xbox controllers.

  • PlayStation: Press and hold R1 and X at the same time.
  • Xbox: Press and hold RB and A at the same time.

If you do it correctly, then you will sort of glide for a bit; otherwise, you will just hit the ground brutally. In addition to that, keep in mind that you will need to let go of your skateboard to perform this. If you hit the controls shown above too early, while you are on a boat, then instead of a Spread Eagle, you will simply do a No Foot Air. Another thing to note is that EA’s Skate is in early access right now. So, the developers might change the keybinds in the future with a 1.0 release.
