Lost Garmond is the corrupted boss version of the familiar NPC in Hollow Knight Silksong, whom you must now clash swords with.
You face many bosses throughout Hollow Knight Silksong, but Lost Garmond might be one of the most tragic. The same companion who once might have helped you in the fight against the Moorwing is now infested by the Void.

Where To Find Lost Garmond in Hollow Knight Silksong?
You will be able to duel this NPC at the Blasted Steps. However, before doing so, you must pick up the Hero’s Call Wish from the Bellhart Wish Wall.
Note that you should talk to Garmond whenever you find them throughout the game. You should talk multiple times at the same location to ensure that you have exhausted their dialogue. The friendly duel against Garmond and Zaza together is also likely necessary for this Wish to appear on the board.
Once this Wish appears, fast travel to the Blasted Steps Bellways and follow Zaza. Or you can just go left on your own, fall down, and continue left. Either way will lead you to Garmond.
Hollow Knight Silksong: Lost Garmond Boss Fight Overview
Here are the moves used by this boss in the absence of Zaza:
- Void Projectile: Garmond launches a bunch of Void-infected particles in Hornet’s direction. It is very hard to avoid this attack due to the dark room disguising them.
- Spear Charge: The boss charges forward with the spear in hand. Pogo jump over this attack.
- Spear Swing: Garmond will swing their spear in an upward arc multiple times.
- Jump and Smash: Garmond will launch into the air in your direction. After a brief gap, they will angle downwards and come crashing to the ground. This is sometimes followed up by the next attack given below.
- Void Saws: Void projectiles fly out and collide with the ground. At the points of collision, blades spin for a brief period before disappearing.
Many of these attacks are similar to the one Garmond and Zaza use in their duel and the fight against Moorwing.
How To Beat Lost Garmond in Hollow Knight Silksong: Tips and Tricks
These tips will make this boss quite a bit easier to attempt:
- Firstly, Tacks are a great Tool to use here, as Lost Garmond is a purely grounded boss.
- The Cross Stitch Silk Skill is also great if you can time it right to counter Garmond’s Spear Charge.
- Apart from these, remember to use the Clawline, Drifter’s Cloak, and Faydown Cloak to safely leap over the Void Saws attack.
