Guns have been some of the strongest weapons in the Dying Light series, and Dying Light The Beast is no different. Guns allow you to stay at a safe distance and pick off zombies with ease, and they are a game-changer against the volatiles at night.
There’s a lot you can do with a gun in any Dying Light game, but the developers have always made it difficult to acquire one. That isn’t the case anymore with Dying Light The Beast, since this game gives you a gun very early. If you’re looking for a gun and still haven’t found it yet, this article should help.
Where To Find a Gun in Dying Light The Beast?
You find a gun during the Life After Life quest in Dying Light The Beast. In this quest, Olivia sends you on an errand to find any survivors who may be in Castor Woods. After searching for a while, you come across a group of survivors holed up inside the town hall of Castor Woods.
Once you reach the town hall gate, you’ll have to use a decoy to clear out the massive horde there. Use the distraction to slip indoors, and you’ll then find a gun shortly after entering. A short tutorial will teach you the basics of shooting, and you’re then free to rain down bullets as you see fit.

How To Replenish Ammo in Dying Light The Beast
While having a gun is certainly exciting, it isn’t worth much if you don’t have the bullets to back you up. Your main way of acquiring bullets is through the convoys scattered across the map. Raid the convoys to acquire ammo.
You’ll find the convoys in the rural parts of Castor Woods. These trucks aren’t marked on your map, and you’ll have to find them by exploring. Once you’ve found one, you then have to kill all enemies in the area, most notably the armored soldier. This soldier zombie will drop an access card, which you can then use to unlock the truck and grab the ammo inside.
If you’re up for a little cheating, you can also use the duplication glitch to acquire unlimited ammo. This glitch allows you to duplicate items in your inventory, essentially giving you all the ammo you want. We’ve covered this method in detail in our guide.
